In reply to your letter No.38848/1918 dated the 26th August with enclosures, concerning the pumping plant erected at Tytam Tuk, I have the honour to enclose a report from the Consulting Engineer. Since the Governor's letter was written he will have received the Consulting Engineer's report of the 12th June enclosed with our letter to you of the 19th June.

With reference to the last paragraph of the Consulting Engineer's report we attach for your information a copy of section 6 of the general conditions of specification to which reference is made.

3. With reference to the last paragraph of the Governor's despatch I have to state that pending the taking over of the plant by the Colonial Government any defects therein have to be made good by the contractor.
